9/25/07 Update: PIN's

Home Banking and WANDA PIN'S
PIN's are confidential data that TVFCU does not store, therefore this personal information was not converted. All members were sent specific instructions regarding PIN's. Remember it is now possible for your WANDA PIN to be completely different than the PIN you use for Home Banking. However, both must be reset effective October 1, 2007 when you logon for the first time. YES, you can reset your PIN to the same 4 digit number you had before.

MasterCard and Debit Card PIN'S
All your MasterCard and Debit Card PIN numbers will not change.

If you have any questions or concerns with your account, simply let us know either with a phone call or using our conversion feedback form.

9/14/07 Update: Everything you need to know about Conversion '07

Important: TVFCU will be closed on Saturday, September 29, 2007, for Conversion purposes. Also, note that neither WANDA, our phone teller, www.tvfcubatavia.com nor our Home Banking will be accessible after 6:00 pm September 28, 2007, due to the conversion process. If you have a unique situation, kindly contact our office, in advance, and we will attempt to facilitate special arrangements for your circumstances.

Conversion FAQ's

1) Will my account number change?

No, all primary account numbers will remain the same. In addition, your checking account number will not change either. The only difference is that your share 1 suffix (primary) will be referred to as S0 account instead of S1. Overdraft Line of Credits will now be denoted as L80 rather than L8. Other loans on your account will be denoted by their suffix number instead of the note number. The note numbers will not be removed from the loan record but for reference, the suffixes will be used when making payments, etc.

2) Will I have to order new checks?
No, you can continue to use the checks you currently have, provided they list our current R&T number on them. The correct R&T number is 222 383 479 and is the first set of numbers listed on the bottom of your checks, in the left hand corner. This is, also, the number needed for all direct deposits and tax refunds.

3) Will my PINs for WANDA and Home Banking change?

YES! PIN's are confidential data that TVFCU does not store, therefore this personal information was not converted. All members will be receiving specific instructions regarding PIN's. Remember it is now possible for your WANDA PIN to be completely different than the PIN you use for Home Banking. However, both must be reset effective October 1, 2007 when you logon for the first time.

4) Can I still use WANDA?
YES! WANDA will still be available; however, WANDA has a new menu, due to conversion. Refer to our new brochure (coming soon) or simply respond when you call. You no longer need to end every response with the # sign and specific suffix account numbers may not be necessary for some transactions. In addition, WANDA will now provide information on your TVFCU MasterCards.

5) Will my statement change?
YES! The September statement will be the last statement from our current system. For members who receive monthly statements, the October 31, 2007 statements will reflect transactions from our new system. Included with these new statements will be a guide to assist members with the new format.

6) How about receipts for my transactions?
Receipts for transactions processed at our teller line will change slightly. They will now display member names but for security purposes, only partial account numbers will appear. The complete number will substitute **** for the first set of numbers of your account. The only digit you will see will be your last digit. Receipts will now indicate previous as well as available balances. Receipts will be provided now whenever you cash a check designating the amounts and denominations you received by our teller.

3) What other changes can I expect?

Electronic signature pads will be used to complete some of our regular transactions. This will enable us to archive them for future reference.
Members will need to rely on their printed statements for account history. TVFCU is not converting any previous transactions on your account. While we do have record of them, they will not be accessible on our new system nor will you have the ability to view transactions, prior to October 1, 2007, via our website or by using WANDA. Going forward it will be possible to review transactions from October 1st and later.

8/1/07 Update: Please be aware of Phishing attempts.

As we plan for our conversion, we have been made aware of the potential for misunderstandings in relation to phishing attempts. Phishing, a method that tricks you into sharing your private information with a fraudster that you believe to be a legitimate resource is an increasingly popular crime. During our conversion, you might be tempted to respond to a phishing attempt that you would otherwise ignore, thinking that the credit union is requesting specific information.

The credit union will not utilize email to request private information. If we need to have you confirm private information, we will use postal mail, or possibly a phone call. Certainly, if you have any doubts regarding information that is requested from you, contact us during normal business hours, at, (585) 343-5627 or (800) 722-8224. We will verify any pending request for your private information.

As we announced in our June newsletter, we will convert to a new computer system during the weekend of September 29th - 30th.

Conversion updates will be posted regularly. Please check here for more detailed information and regular updates in the upcoming months.

If you have any questions or concerns with your account, simply let us know either with a phone call or using our conversion feedback form.
